Here are the top-ranked South African boxers, according to The Ring magazine

As of June 23, 2013:

No.2 junior-featherweight - Jeffrey Mathebula (holds no mainstream title)

No.2 strawweight - Hekkie Budler (holds no mainstream title)

No.3 strawweight - Nkosinathi Joyi (holds no mainstream title)

No.4 flyweight - Moruti Mthalane (IBF champion)

No.8 super-middleweight - Tommy Oosthuizen (holds no mainstream title)

(NOTE: In some weight divisions, The Ring magazine recognises "genuine" champions, irrespective of what titles they hold. The ranking number we ascribe to each SA fighter shows their overall ranking in the world and may not always correspond to The Ring's, depending on whether they recognise a champion or not)
