Teenage swimmer Chad le Clos picked up four medals — one gold and three silver — at the Stockholm leg of the Fina World Cup which concluded on Sunday night.
The 19-year-old South African clocked 1:54.33 to win gold in the men’s 200m backstroke ahead of Brazil’s Leornardo Fim, who was second, and Switzerland’s Lukas Rauftlin who finished third.
The South African also picked up silver medals in the 200m freestyle, 100m butterfly and the 200m individual medley events.
Having scooped six gold medals in the opening leg of the series in Dubai, Le Clos lifted his medal haul to seven gold and three bronze.
The next stop of the World Cup is in Moscow on October 18 and 19, followed by meetings in Berlin, Singapore, Beijing and Tokyo.
