Sebastian Vettel wins third world title
Sebastian Vettel won the Formula One world championship for the third successive year on Sunday in a rain-lashed and incident-packed Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos.
McLaren's Jenson Button won the season-ending race but Red Bull driver Vettel's sixth-place finish was enough to make him the youngest ever triple world champion.
Fernando Alonso of Ferrari, the only driver who could deny Vettel the title, finished in second place as the grand prix finished behind the safety car.
But Vettel clinched the 2012 crown by just three points.
