The Blue Bulls will start their Currie Cup campaign against Griquas on Friday without the services of centre Johann Sadie and hooker Bongi Mbonambi.
Both players, who played Super Rugby for the Bulls in 2012, are yet to make their Blue Bulls debuts, but will have to wait a little longer before being able to do so.
Blue Bulls team doctor Org Strauss confirmed that Sadie will only be available next week as he is still recovering from an ankle injury, while Mbonambi, who has an ankle ligament strain, will be out for another four weeks.
Strauss earlier in the month ruled out Fudge Mabeta for two to three months with a knee injury and Bjorn Basson, suffering an intestinal tear, who will be out for six weeks.
