Bees Roux joins Treviso
Former Bulls prop Bees Roux has joined Italian Pro12 team Treviso from French club Bordeaux-Bègles.
Roux played thirteen games for UBB in the Top 14 after leaving South Africa in a cloud of controversy.
The 31-year was fired by the Bulls after training with the Pumas without permission during his culpable homicide trial for killing a metro police officer in August 2010. The player avoided jail time after reaching a plea bargain agreement with the State.
Treviso have also bolstered their front row stocks with the arrival of Italian international prop Alberto de Marchi from the now defunct Aironi.
Two other Azzurri players have also joined Treviso from Aironi, flanker Simone Favaro and wing Giulio Toniolatti
Amongst the other new faces in the squad are Australian James Ambrosini (from Queensland A), New Zealander Dean Budd (NEC Green Rockets), South African Doppies La Grange (Lions), Christian Loamanu (Toulon) and Italians Michele Campagnaro, Angelo Esposito (Tarvisium), Marco Fuser (Mogliano), Giovanni Maistri (Calvisano) and Luca Morisi ( Crociati).
