Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini remains doubtful of the club's chances of landing Robin van Persie this summer.
City are thought to be amongst the front runners to sign the Dutch international, who last month announced he would not be extending the 12 months on his current Arsenal deal.
The Citizens are joined in the hunt for the prolific striker by rivals Manchester United and Serie A champions Juventus, but the Italian tactician concedes it is unlikely the Eastlands outfit will sign the 28-year-old.
"Van Persie? No, I don't think he will come here," the City boss is quoted as saying.
Van Persie scooped last season's PFA Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year awards, as well as the Premier League's Golden Boot after rifling home 30 goals for the Gunners.
