Chelsea seriously interested in Azpilicueta
Marseille president Vincent Labrune has revealed that Chelsea's interest in signing Spanish full-back Cesar Azpilicueta is 'serious'.
The Blues have already bolstered their ranks over the course of the off-season with the captures of Oscar, Eden Hazard and Marko Marin.
The trio cost the west Londoners more than £60 million, although but it seems the FA Cup and European champions are not done splashing out in the market.
Azpilicueta has previously spoken of his delight that Roberto Di Matteo's side had been linked with his services, and Labrune has confirmed a switch to Stamford Bridge for the 20-year-old could take place.
"Chelsea have made a serious approach for Cesar," Labrune is quoted as saying in The Sun.
It is believed Chelsea are open to sweetening the pot by offering winger Gael Kakuta as part of any deal for Azpilicueta.
