Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has ruled out the prospect of making any new signings when the transfer window reopens in January.
Ferguson recruited Robin van Persie, Shinji Kagawa, Nick Powell and Alexander Buttner in the previous transfer window.
The Red Devils' increased strength in depth sees them sit atop the Premier League standings, leading champions and arch-rivals Manchester City by six points.
The Citizens and Chelsea have both revealed their intentions to add a few more players in the new year.
But the United boss, when asked if he would strengthen his squad, responded: "No. The January transfer market has never been the best market and that has proved itself over the years.
"You get very few big transfers - all the big transfers are done in the summer."
