Former Chiefs ace Musona struggles in Bundesliga
GERMAN club TSG Hoffenheim will in the next days finalise a deal to loan out Knowledge Musona for next season in order to give the young striker some more playing time.
Free-scoring Musona has largely spent the season kicking his heels since his pricey move from Kaizer Chiefs, having not made the expected impact in the Bundesliga.
Hoffenheim officials said a loan deal was intended to give Musona more playing time next season.
They feel he could do with 12 months, probably in the German second division, where he would be a first team regular and bounce back into top flight contention in 2014.
Musona turns 22 in June and had been expected to do better than the single start he has made for his new club.
The Zimbabwe international has also played 13 times as a substitute, but is yet to score a first goal for Hoffenheim despite being the Premier Soccer League’s top marksman last campaign.
Both he and Thulani Serero went overseas last June as the two most exciting products that the PSL had sold overseas for some time, but neither have been able to make the grade yet.
It had been hoped they would be dynamic ambassadors for other PSL-based players.
