Schalke general manager Horst Heldt has dispelled rumours linking Klaas-Jan Huntelaar with a move away from the Bundesliga club.
Huntelaar, who endured a disappointing Euro 2012 campaign with Holland, has been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United in recent times.
The 28-year-old striker was the Bundesliga's top scorer last season, and the Blues reportedly view him as an ideal replacement for Dider Drogba, who recently left Stamford Bridge for Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua.
But Heldt has expressed Schalke's desire to extend Huntelaar's current contract while revealing the Dutchman also wishes to stay at the Westfalian outfit.
"Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is still under contract with our club," Heldt told Reviersport newspaper.
"He is pretty much aware that we are very keen to prolong his contract and as far as I know he is also keen to do so."
