Wolfsburg striker Mario Mandzukic has confirmed he is negotiating an off-season transfer to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich.
The 26-year-old has alerted a number of the continent's clubs as to his talents after scoring three goals in Croatia's unsuccessful Euro 2012 campaign.
Wolves coach Felix Magath admitted recently that Mandzukic had been attracting widespread interest, but stressed he was loathe to part with the player's services.
"At this point in time it is a fact that there are some clubs interested in signing Mario Mandzukic," Magath told Deutsche Presseagentur.
"Right now it is an open race. I am not preventing players from moving on. If there is definite interest, I have no problem with that, but I do not want to get rid of him."
The Croatia international has since been linked with a move to the Allianz Arena and he claims there is truth to the rumours after revealing he is holding talks with the Bavarian outfit.
"The truth is that I am negotiating with Bayern," he was quoted as saying in Bild. "It's a great club and of course I'd like to play there - who wouldn't?
"For the time being I'm holiday, so it's down to my representative to sort things out."
