Allegri promises new arrivals at Milan
AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has promised new signings will arrive at the San Siro to compensate for the numerous off-season departures.
No less than 13 players left the Rossoneri at the end of last season, including veterans Clarence Seedorf, Filippo Inzaghi, Gennaro Gattuso and Alessandro Nesta.
Meanwhile, the Italian giants allowed centre-back Thiago Silva and striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to leave for Paris St Germain in the past week, although they have money to spend following the combined 62 million euros sale of their star duo.
But Allegri is confident that new additions will be made during the current transfer window as Milan look to reclaim the Serie A title from reigning champions Juventus next season.
"The club knows what to do," the 44-year-old tactician said. "Some players have left and for now I can only work with the elements at my disposal, but more will arrive before August 31.
"I am not someone who chops people down. We evaluated along with the club, so some players remained and more will come in, so with that squad we must aim for a top three position in Serie A."
