Conte absent for Juve friendly

Juventus coach Antonio Conte was missing from the touchline as his side claimed a 2-0 pre-season friendly victory over Malaga on Saturday night.
Conte watched on from a private box as Alessandro Matri bagged a brace to see off the financially troubled La Liga outfit in what was the Bianconeri's final pre-season outing ahead of their Italian Super Cup encounter against Napoli on August 11.
The Italian tactician is facing the prospect of a 15-month touchline ban as requested by prosecutor Stefano Palazzi for his part in the latest match-fixing scandal to have rocked the country.
Juve decided that Massimo Carrera, who is part of the club's coaching staff, would stand in for Conte against the Spaniards, which they see as a viable solution should the Italian Football Association disciplinary committee (FIGC) mete out the lengthy suspension.
Carrera would only take charge of the team on match days as Conte would still be able to train with his players during the week, but cannot be present in the dressing room before or during the matches.
