Orlando Pirates boast the best players in the Premiership, according to the club's public relations officer Mickey Modisane.
The Buccaneers brought in world footballing icon Luis Boa Morte and Bidvest Wits hitman Sifiso Myeni during the January transfer window, adding to the acquisition of Bafana Bafana's all-time record goal scorer Benni McCarthy at the beginning of the season.
Pirates recently celebrated their 75th anniversary, and Modisane believes the club - defending treble champions - are primed to enjoy another year of success in South Africa.
"Our team has now arguably the best players in the country. Luis Boa Morte, Sifiso Myeni have joined the club and will definitely add more experience in the squad," he told the club's official website.
"I am aware that other teams have also been in the market, but this season we are more determined than ever to do better than we did last season."
The Soweto giants have already clinched the MTN8 title and the Telkom Knockout crown this term, and they are set to begin their continental campaign later this month when the CAF Champions League kicks off.
"We represent the hope and aspirations of many people in South Africa; that is why we're also preparing to go deep in Africa and fight to bring another star for the people of this country," Modisane added.
Looking towards Pirates' defence of the PSL title, he said: "The squad looks great and the players cannot wait to host Black Leopards on the 15th (of February)."
