South Africa centre-back Morgan Gould says Bafana Bafana owe the nation ahead of their 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Bafana, who have failed to reach the last two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, will host Ethiopia in Rustenburg on Sunday before tackling neighbours Botswana in Gaborone on June 9.
Gould is confident the team can come away with maximum points.
"Look it is not going to be easy but this is a time for us to do well. We need to go out and win both games against Ethiopia and Botswana," Gould told Kaizer Chiefs' official website.
"We owe this to the nation that has supported us through and through. I have bit of information on Botswana and we know what to expect when we meet."
Meanwhile, Gould expressed his delight at recently joining Amakhosi on a four-year deal from Nedbank Cup champions SuperSport United.
"I am delighted to have finally signed for Kaizer Chiefs," he said.
"It is a dream of every youngster to play for one of the biggest teams in Soweto and for me having grown up in Noordgesig near Orlando."
He added: "I cannot wait to don the gold and black. I am also happy that the club never gave up on me and kept on enquiring about my services."
