Eric Mathoho remains Kaizer Chiefs' number-one transfer target, with general manager Bobby Motaung revealing they have offered Bloemfontein Celtic R5million for the defender's services.
Amakhosi have long been admirers of the Bafana Bafana centre-back, although Phunya Sele Sele are unwilling to part ways with one of their star players.
However, the Glamour Boys are refusing to give up hope, with the defender himself having expressed his desire for Celtic to accept one of the numerous offers made by some of the PSL's biggest clubs.
"Mathoho is still number one on our wish list," Motaung told The Sowetan.
"Whether it is this week, next month or even next year, we want the player to come to Chiefs.
"I hope Celtic will come back with a positive response. His jersey is waiting for him in Naturena."
Meanwhile, Siwelele chief executive Khumbulani Konco said: "At the moment Mathoho is still our player, we will release him as soon as we find a replacement."
