PSL transfers... who’s in and who’s out
FOOTBALL’S transfer window has only just opened in South Africa but already there have been some big signings by PSL clubs.
Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns have been leading the way, with the AmaKhosi picking up Bafana Bafana stars Siboniso Gaxa and Morgan Gould, as well as young goalkeeper Nhlanhla Khuzwayo from AmaZulu.
Sundowns have brought in one of the country’s top young midfield talents in Thamsanqa Sangweni from AmaZulu, as well as left-sided utility man Tebogo Langerman, who signed a pre-contract with the club back in January.
That did not stop him helping former side Supersport United to beat Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup final last month.
Supersport United have been busy too, bringing in Zambian international Clifford Mulenga from Bloemfontein Celtic, with John Arwuah going the other way, as well as Bafana centre-back Bevan Fransman from Hapoel Tel Aviv in Israel.
But the fact that they have lost Gould, Langerman and Arwuah is a blow for coach Gavin Hunt, who every season has to compensate for the loss of his top stars.
