Bloemfontein Celtic are aiming to complete the signing of midfielder Kurt Lentjies from PSL rivals Maritzburg United on Tuesday.
The Premier Soccer League clubs have confirmed the imminent deal to the Sowetan.
"We are just waiting for Maritzburg to get back to us but we are very positive about signing Lentjies. He would be a good addition to our squad," said Celtic CEO Khumbulani Konco.
United chairman Farook Kadodia added: "That deal is quite strong and I believe it will be wrapped up soon."
Celtic have recruited John Arwuah (from SuperSport United), Siyabonga Nontshinga (Jomo Cosmos) and Auguston Leonard (Moroka Swallows) in the off-season.
A flood of players have left the MTN8 qualifiers. They are Bevan Fransch, Luyanda Hlongwa, Prince Hlela, Kgotso Moleko, Clifford Mulenga, Thokozani Mshengu, Phenyo Mongala, Cecil Oerson, Siyabonga Mbatha, Moses Spandeel, Papi Zothwane, Ezenwa Otorogu and Ransford Osei.
