Thulani Serero looks to have found his feet at Ajax Amsterdam after firing home his third goal in as many pre-season matches for the Eredivisie champions.
The Bafana Bafana attacking midfielder struggled for game time under coach Frank de Boer after joining the Dutch giants from Ajax Cape Town in 2011, managing just a handful of appearances during the side's championship-winning campaign.
However, the 22-year-old looks certain to earn his place in the first-team come the start of the new season after banging in his third goal of the off-season campaign in a 4-0 win over Scottish titans Glasgow Celtic this weekend.
Serero was also on target in the 8-0 demolition of VV Noordwijk last week, as well as against Odendaal 10 days earlier.
Meanwhile, Thulani's international team-mate and Crystal Palace midfielder Kagisho Dikgacoi remains out with an injury that has kept him sidelined since June, meaning he missed the first pre-season game for his Championship side, which ended in a 5-1 thrashing of Lewes.
