Neymar agrees mega Real deal
Santos star Neymar has agreed a bumper deal in principle to join Real Madrid in the European summer, according to ESPNsoccernet.
The Brazil international has emerged as one of the hottest properties in world football after sterling performances for both club and country in the last few years.
Neymar was a target for a number of Europe's elite clubs during the 2010 summer transfer window, with Los Merengues even going so far as to claim they had agreed a pre-contract with the player's agent, which Santos categorically denied.
The Brazilian giants subsequently slapped a 30million euro price-tag on the 19-year-old and tied him down to a new long-term contract, with Neymar himself admitting he was happy to remain in his homeland.
But it appears the teenage sensation is now ready to make the step up to the European stage after ESPNsoccernet reported that Jose Mourinho's side have agreed a £53million deal to secure his services next summer.
A source said: "Neymar will be a Real Madrid player in July, but he is not going there any earlier. He has not signed a contract as yet."
Neymar is expected to pocket £1million a month at the Bernabeu, with the deal set to come to approximately £150m due to image rights, commercial agreements and the transfer fee.
