La Liga club Zaragoza announced on Monday that they had signed Dutch central defender Glenn Loovens.

Loovens, 28, has signed the two-year contract with Zaragoza after being released by Scottish giants Celtic.
Loovens is Zaragoza’s fifth summer signing, following Francisco Montanes, Franco Zuculini, Alvaro and Lucas Wilchez.
Zaragoza finished fifth from bottom in La Liga last season, avoiding relegation thanks to a defiant run of victories at the end of the season under new coach Manolo Jimenez, who will continue in charge next season.
