Modric off to Real - report
Luka Modric could finally be on his way out of Tottenham after reports revealed the Premier League club have agreed a fee with Real Madrid for the midfielder.
According to Sky Sports, the La Liga champions will pay Spurs £23.6million, plus a further £3.9m in add-ons.
The amount is significantly less than the £40million club chairman Daniel Levy was believed to be holding out for, although the deal also reportedly hinges on Spurs finding a suitable replacement for Modric.
Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho has long been linked with a move to the Premier League to play for former boss Andre Villas-Boas although with just over two weeks until the transfer window closes, it remains to be seen if any of these deal will be completed in time.
The future of Giovani dos Santos also hangs in the balance with the talented Mexican midfielder also eyeing a move out of Tottenham.
Despite his continued impressive performances for his national side, most recently in the Olympics where he won a gold medal, Dos Santos remains on the fringes at Spurs.
He could, however, swap north London for Milan if a deal involving Inter keeper Julio Cesar goes through.
The player's agent, Vicente Montes, told Calciomercato: "We have several options and we need to weigh them all up.
"The truth is that Gio has always wanted to play in La Liga or Serie A so that's what we're aiming for.
"A swap deal with Julio Cesar? Often journalists talk without knowing the truth, but that is not the case here.
"Inter is one of the possibilities, I can't deny that."
